As of today, 24 states have legalized the use of marijuana and three additional states have decriminalized its use.  Legislation to legalize marijuana is under consideration in several other states and those states which have legalized marijuana are attempting to develop regulations to govern its use and sale.  Needless to say, the maze of legislation and regulations from state to state can by confusing for businesses, employers and entrepreneurs..
